Helper, Utah is a town in Carbon County located at the mouth of Price Canyon. The area was settled in the 1880s with the development of the Denver and Rio Grand Western Railroad. It was incorporated in 1907.

The town was a central hub for the Carbon County mining district and grew to 2,707 residents by the 1930s which is slightly higher than the 2010 population count of 2,201

Helper continues to be one of the four stops made by the California Zephyr on its daily run from San Francisco to Chicago.

Helper is home of the Western Mining and Railroad Museum.
